Prahran East Medical Centre has been serving the local community for over 50 years. We are a family-owned practice, providing expert and holistic General Practice health care with compassion and integrity.

Our GPs have post-graduate FRACGP qualifications, with experience and skills in all aspects of family medicine. We have special expertise in women’s and men’s health, child health, dermatology, mole checks and skin cancer surgery, accident & emergency, antenatal care, travel medicine, internal medicine and minor surgery.

The practice is supported by two registered nurses, onsite physiotherapy, psychology and pathology collection and a neighbouring pharmacy. We have full accreditation and use the latest computer technology.

Rigorous continuing education through research, education programs, IT and our university collaboration ensures our doctors stay fully abreast of the rapid changes in medical science.

Staff at our Prahran clinic are fluent in Albanian, Greek, Macedonian and Mandarin. We welcome people from all minority groups, including First Nations people and our LGBTQIA+ community. Phone Interpreters and the National Relay Service are available upon request.

We're also an accredited teaching practice, training the doctors of tomorrow from the University of Melbourne.

The owners and some staff of PEMC are vegan and encourage our staff and patients to consider reducing their intake and use of animal products, to support the health and wellbeing of themselves, our animal friends and our precious planet.

PEMC acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of these lands on which we work and live.
